Devotion
A sacred, embodied, ritual journey of witnessing and integration: one-on-one portrait sessions
Devotion is so much more than portraits — it’s a journey of seeing and being seen. Together we create a safe, creative space to explore who you are and what’s ready to be expressed, so the images reflect not just your outer self, but your inner story. The sessions are designed as a full, three-part process — weaving storytelling, embodiment, and reflection into an artistic and therapeutic experience.
I bring in threads from many practices:
– Earth-based spirituality & imagination
– Mindfulness & trauma-informed counseling
– Queer liberation
– Neuroscience & integration practices
– Decolonizing awareness of self, body, culture, & story
– These frameworks shape how I listen, guide, and co-create with you.

Here’s how it unfolds:
Movement One (90 min): Story & Intention Setting
We meet in conversation and personalized, embodied meditation. We’ll explore your emotions, themes, and desires so the session reflects you, not my projections. Then, we translate this into visual storytelling by discovering what your theme(s) characteristics are: colors, textures, bodily sensations, movements, light, environment relationships, spiritual symbols and more! We will then plan your outfits, location, props, and more. The whole world of creative possibilities is open to us!
Movement Two (90 min): Photo Experience
At one agreed-upon location, we create together. We will resist the internal pressure to “pose” according to external validation. Instead, I’ll guide you through intuitive movement, sacred play, and moments of stillness so your authentic expression shines through, embodying your story. Even when you experience disconnection from your body and intention, I will support you to come back home and mirror your wholeness to you.
Movement Three (60 min): Integration & Closing
We’ll review your images together in ceremony, reflect on the experience, and honor what you discovered about yourself. If any shadow selves or body judgement comes up, we will move towards those parts with love. If you choose, we will create a social media post that activates your authentic voice and courage to be seen— every step devotional and consensual, instead of led by force or fear.
